JOHANNESDORF

AUSTRIAN NARROW GAUGE IN 1/45th SCALE     (7mm NARROW GAUGE).

JOHANNESDORF HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO DCC OPERATION USING LENZ EQUIPMENT.

Johannesdorf is a imaginary small town at the head of a valley somewhere in the west of the Austrian Tirol.

It is served by a 760mm gauge railway owned by the Tirolerbahnen, (Tirol Railways), which operated a number of narrow gauge lines in the area. It is imagined that the railway forms a junction with the Austrian Railways (OBB), Arlberg main line in the vicinity of Landeck and climbs up the valley to Johannesdorf. Here a junction is made with a branch to Petersberg, located up an adjacent valley and involving a further climb.

The layout is set in the present day, and uses diesel and steam loco's as well as a diesel railcar.

The loco's and stock are a mixture of kit & scratch built with adapted ready to run items from the Fleichmann Magic Train range.

Johannesdorf has been featured in 'Continental Modeller'.

The layout is 20 feet long (6.1 m), by 2 feet wide (0.7m), and stands 1m from the floor.

Johannesdorf is transported in two cars, and requires four operators. Accommodation is needed for two nights in the form of two twin rooms for two day exhibitions. We can accept a small number of  bookings for one day shows with Johannesdorf, when two operators will suffice.
